At Caffe Inc., we wanted to answer a simple question:
Can coffee oil deliver measurable anti-ageing benefits on human skin?
To find out, we commissioned an independent in-vivo study with EspressOil®, our upcycled coffee oil. The results showed significant improvements in skin appearance after just 14 days, with continued benefits over a 28-day period.
Is Coffee Oil Clinically Proven?
Yes, EspressOil®
has been evaluated in an independent placebo-controlled study.
The study included:
- 20 female volunteers (35–65 years)
- 28-day treatment period
- 3% EspressOil® in a day cream
- Measurements at Day 0, 14 and 28
- Instrumental analysis using Cutometer® and PRIMOS® technology.
This allowed the effect of the coffee oil itself to be compared with an identical placebo formulation.
Does Coffee Oil Reduce Wrinkles?
The short answer is: yes.
After only 14 days, the cream containing EspressOil® reduced wrinkle depth 68% more than the placebo, a statistically significant result.
After 28 days:wrinkle depth decreased by 16.0%, skin roughness improved by 16.7% and skin firmness and elasticity also improved significantly.
One of the most interesting findings was that EspressOil® worked particularly quickly during the first two weeks before moving into a natural maintenance phase.
